The best anime shows on Netflix

Infernal Destroyer (2019)

Brimstone Destroyer - NPC - World of Warcraft

Demon Slayer, the latest darling of the shonen genre, is a unique success because it deviates from many of the standard tropes seen in action anime. After a monster kills his family, protagonist Tanjiro Kamado joins the demon slayers’ ranks. Tanjiro’s younger sister Nezuko Kamado was the only one to escape the attack, but she became a monster as a result. Tanjiro and Nezuko go to Taisho-era Japan in pursuit of a cure, and Tanjiro ends up joining the Demon Slayer Corps to face the demon responsible for his family’s deaths, Muzan Kibutsuji.

The visuals and action are stunning, the story is engaging, the soundtrack is excellent, and the lines of conversation will stick with you. No amount of praise for this anime could ever be enough. Netflix only has the first season available, but if you can’t get enough of it, there is more.

Naruto (2002-2007)

When Titans Attack! (2013-2023)

One of the most-watched anime series now is Attack on Titan. This is a program you shouldn’t miss if you like amazing animation, political intrigue, a likable cast, and fight scenes that seem larger than life.

Yes, the titans are terrifying; they are enormous, humanoid, human-eating beasts that compel humans to dwell behind high castle walls. But seeing our heroes triumph against the bad guys is half the joy.

The first season of Attack on Titan is the only one available on Netflix, but the show’s popularity means that you won’t need more than the first 25 episodes to become hooked.

JoJo’s Strange Quest (2012)

Combat is as mystical and otherworldly as the story is exciting. Thankfully, you can watch all five seasons on Netflix right now.

A Case of Hunter vs. Hunter (2011-2014)

The tale of Hunter x Hunter was cut short after the sixth season. Yoshihiro Togashi, the manga pfp creator, has ceased production, putting Hunter x Hunter on hold. Togashi has lately said that more chapters would be released.

The show’s main character, Gon Freecss, first sets out on a journey to find his absent father, but the story gradually diverges from that initial premise. Fans like the show because of how well it creates a believable universe and how much they care about all of the characters.

At the End (2006)

Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student, obtains a strange notebook (the “Death Note”) that grants its possessor the power to murder anybody whose name is inscribed inside it.

In Light’s zeal to rid the world of criminals and others he considers morally deficient, Light carries out a slaughter. But fear not; the finest detective in the world is on the case. If Light tries, will he be caught?

Kakegurui (2017-2019)

Kakegurui Season 1 Review – DJ's World

Trust us, after watching just a few episodes of this famous anime, you won’t be able to stop watching. Although it’s not your standard action anime, this program is just as exciting. The exact opposite is true.

Whether it’s at the roulette table or the blackjack table, at Kakegurui, a student’s worth is determined by how well they can gamble. Mixing elements of drama and psychological suspense, the show’s stakes increase as it goes on.

Castle Vania (2017)

A Netflix original, Castle Vania is based on the popular video game series of the same name and centers on Trevor Belmont, the sole surviving member of the disgraced Belmont family.

Castlevania (TV Series 2017–2021) - IMDb

There is a lot of blood and gruesome creatures in this grim medieval tale. In the 1400s, Trevor and his newfound allies go to Eastern Europe to put an end to Dracula’s reign of terror after the untimely death of his beloved. The opportunity is too good to pass up.

Documentation of the End of the World (2021)

Would you be interested in seeing a fight between a Norse deity and a fighter from ancient China?

Or how about seeing a Greek deity battle toe-to-toe with one of Japan’s greatest swordsmen?

Not me either, but I’m pleased I found out about it now.

The idea of Record of Ragnarok is straightforward: mankind must win 13 one-on-one combat to the death to escape being wiped out by the gods.

Whoever wins seven games first wins?

Enjoy yourself while learning something new from this unique and fascinating animation that is also packed with interesting facts about the human race. The fact that myths from around the world coincide is also neat. Currently, just the first season’s 12 episodes are available, making this an ideal anime for a marathon session in front of the TV.
