SRK’s Fan Review – Shah Rukh Khan

SRK’s Fan ReviewShah Rukh Khan the Superstar of India is now trying his best to give some discreet and different movies to the awaited generation. As we are watching movies like PK and Bajirao Mastani SRK is going so routine with stuff like Dilwale and Happy New Year. Now the new movie FAN directed by Maneesh Sharma has got a lot of things to explain in the trailer itself and the power-packed promotions are bigger things to watch out for. The fan has two characters led by Shah Rukh as we already know. Let’s see how much this movie has gone.

CAST AND CREW OF FAN
Starring: Shah Rukh Khan and Others
Director: Maneesh Sharma
Producer: Aditya Chopra
Music Director: Vishal–Shekhar

NARRATION:

Gaurav Chanana (Shah Rukh Khan) from Inder Nagar, Delhi, who eats, breathes, and lives with superstar Aryan Khanna (Shah Rukh, again) is the hero of this movie where Aryan Khanna founds him strange to make some bigger-than-box help from him without concern of his at least. Senior AK and Junior AK characters were excellently balanced by Shah Rukh Khan like never before.

The scenes in the first half with Sitara Competitions are a treat to fans of Shah Rukh. Later on, Gaurav starts to meet the Senior AK, and there change their route of himself. When “Aapka fan hoon, aapki zindagi ke paanch minute bhi nahi mil sakte kya mujhe?” from Gaurav is met with “Meri zindagi hai, main tumhe paanch second bhi kyu doon?” from Aryan, Chanana is pushed over the edge. At that very moment, Gaurav becomes the anti-fan and in turn enemy of the god of his own and starts showing some torture to him in the second half.

SRK’s Fan Review – Shah Rukh Khan
SAFE SIGNS: Shah Rukh Khan excels all the way and we just can’t even imagine any other person in this role. Others did well and they even don’t have much to do.

HARD SIGNS:

Compared to the feel-good first half and second half the real story starts and it teases us here and there with some boring elements. Maneesh Sharma’s story sheds dignified of the first half and makes people sit straight and be scared post-intermission. But the second was engaged into little more time where we realize Shah Rukh Khan’s negative roles were on with some psychotic, obsessed role of a Fan who turned to be enemy.

A few logic is missing in the movie and a bigger letdown is the climax for sure. They got to make the kid turn out into a fan again but the negative role of Sharukh goes beyond the line (no spoilers please). The screenplay was a little slower and confusing in the second half which should have been taken care of.

ADDITIONAL PHASE:

Director Maneesh Sharma managed to sort out things really well with both the Sharukhs.

The music was great and the background music was perfect.

The editing was way better.

APNC VERDICT:

Finally, If you pop up a few actors’ names with versatility in Indian cinema, Shah Rukh would be on the top. The fan is a kind of movie where Shah Rukh Khan’s versatility reached the next level. Keeping all the odds(Climax, few scenes) in the film with his legendary acting skills SRK makes this movie worthwhile watching. The climax could have been a lot stronger, but that doesn’t dilute the film’s impact at all. And yes this movie brings back Shah Rukh Khan into the race yet again.
